Solutions for Care has consulted in community-based health care since 2001. Our clients include community-based providers — home health, hospice and private duty — plus government agencies and universities. A respected educator, speaker, and industry spokesperson, Nancy has presented for the Home Care Association of Florida for more than 15 years. She has also partnered with MedBridge to simplify employee onboarding, develop Florida continuing education content, and perform compliance reviews for over 100 interactive courses. In 2026, Medbridge recognized that work with its Clinicians’ Choice Award: Nursing — an honor decided by the clinicians who took her course.
For 10 years, Nancy has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Community Health Nursing — an international peer-reviewed journal focused on health care issues relevant to all aspects of community practice. It publishes well-researched, practical and up-to-date information for nurses and other professionals who make decisions and solve problems in the community health setting.
Now marking its 20th year helping healthcare organizations achieve successful, deficiency-free surveys, Nancy's book, Survivor! Ten Practical Steps to Survey Survival, remains a trusted resource for its practical guidance and engaging style. Her articles have also been published nationally and internationally.

From Florida to the Pacific
When nations build home health from zero, they call Solutions for Care.
With the University of Hawaii and the Pacific Island Health Officers Association, Solutions for Care has served on projects establishing home health and hospice in the Republic of Palau and American Samoa — training physicians, nurses, therapists and chaplains in community health, and helping create the regulatory framework for governmental oversight.
The Tausi Feagaiga project trained caregivers to serve American Samoa's elders — work that continues to shape community-based care across the Pacific.
Nancy Allen was invaluable as the consultant and instructor for a training program in the Republic of Palau… The stakeholder's meeting was a huge success, attended by Queen Bilung, the Minister of Health, President and Chief of Staff. A regulatory framework was created for the community-based healthcare program.
